Our Senior Year Students at the 5th International Symposium on Turkish Computer and Mathematics Education (TURCOMAT-5)...

Department of Mathematics and Science Education, Elementary Mathematics Education Program undergraduate senior year students Fatma Nur Gürbüz, Ö. Ayça Kaplan and Zeynep Bakırcı participated in the 5th International Symposium on Turkish Computer and Mathematics Education (TÜRKBİLMAT-5) held on 28 - 31 October 2021. They attended with the presentation of a paper they prepared under the consultancy of Dr. Instructor Zerrin Toker.

In the symposium, which hosts new developments, researches and discussions in the fields of mathematics education and educational technologies, our students, who presented their paper titled "Investigation of Tasks for Teaching Statistics in Mathematics Textbooks in the Framework of Task Design Principles", prepared their paper related to "Developing Integrated Teaching Toolkits to Promote Statistical Literacy" project they prepared within the scope of TED University Undergraduate Students Research Foundation and the MATE 253 Mathematics Textbook Review course they took in the 2021 spring semester. They had the excitement and experience of presenting their first paper at the international symposium as undergraduate students.
