The faculty member Dr. Vesife Hatısaru, in the Department of Mathematics and Science Education, hosted in Hayat Okulu, a lively radio programme on TRT Radio 1. On the Programme, the importance and necessity of mathematics in every day life in general and in academic life in particular were discussed within the scope of the following questions: As individuals, in such an era that most knowledge has been digitised, how is our relationship to mathematics? How much mathematics do we know? Where we see mathematics in our lives? and How can we improve our mathematics skills?
Considering many of the students have the same question in their mind, according to Dr. Hatısaru, the importance and necessity of mathematics however should be discussed with students in all school levels as an education policy.
