The experience-sharing event regarding the TED Ambassador School Experience Program took place on April 25. Our students Esinnur Albayrak, Zeynep Naz Sezer and Aybüke Zeliha Özdemir, who were entitled to benefit from this program in the 2023-2024 Fall semester and were appointed by TED University and spent 2.5 days at TED Kocaeli College, explained the details about the application criteria and the application process and then talked about the experiences they gained during the program. They also answered the questions on topics our students were curious about.

What is the TED school experience program 'Preparation to Teaching'?

TED is a network of 44 K-12 schools spread across Turkey, and many of them have teacher trainers/mentors at the school. This provides an excellent opportunity for undergraduate students in the TED University EME program to visit a TED school to get a taste of the realities of teaching before graduating. The main aim of the Preparation to Teach program is to give you the opportunity to acquire the professional knowledge you need to develop a more comprehensive and realistic understanding of the demands of real classroom teaching. By the end of the program, you will have developed your knowledge of how to plan and deliver a lesson, how to deal with school-related problems (inside and outside the classroom), and how to survive your first year of teaching. You will also gain an understanding of the entire corporate culture of a TED school.
